Browser extension
Open web.whatsapp.com in your desktop browser and you're set — the translation bar sits right inside the chat. The quickest to install, and our recommended starting point.
Windows desktop
A standalone desktop app that starts with Windows, sits in the tray and shows desktop notifications for new messages. It keeps your browser free — ideal if WhatsApp is open all day as your workspace. If you see “Windows protected your PC” on first install, click “More info → Run anyway”.
macOS desktop
Notarized by Apple. Open the installer and drag “WA小译” into Applications. Runs on Apple silicon (M series) and Intel Macs, with the same features as the Windows version.
Android
Download the APK and install it directly. If prompted, allow “Install unknown apps”; the app tells you when a new version is available. On Android you can also make WhatsApp calls right in the app, with Chinese captions — and with voice interpreting on, you speak Chinese and your customer hears their language. About calls →
